United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken has condemned Tuesday's twin terrorist attacks in Dera Ismail Khan in which 25 Pakistan Army personnel were martyred and several injured.
In a post through his X account, Blinken said the US stood with the people of Pakistan in ensuring the perpetrators were brought to justice.

At least 25 army personnel were martyred, and several others injured, in two separate terrorist attacks in Dera Ismail Khan in the wee hours of Tuesday.

At around 3am on Tuesday, six terrorists attacked a police station in the Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan, however, their attempt to enter the premises was foiled. The terrorists then rammed a vehicle full of explosives into the main gate of the police station. They also exploded their suicide vests, reported the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
As a result of the explosions, the police station building collapsed, and 23 soldiers were martyred. All six terrorists were also gunned down, the ISPR said.
In another attack on a college in the Kulachi area, two personnel were martyred, and four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire.
