The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is expected to issue the final list of candidates today (Saturday) ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The scrutiny of the candidates for the reserved seats is also expected to be completed today.
Moreover, the electoral watchdog will also announce its verdict regarding the intra-party elections of the Awami National Party (ANP). The verdict will be announced at 9:30 a.m.
– Musarrat Cheema withdraws nomination papers –
Earlier on December 21, the ECP had reserved the decision after completing the hearing.
Separately, it was reported that former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Musarrat Cheema on Friday decided to withdraw her nomination papers ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Musarrat had withdrawn her nomination papers from NA-121.
She had also withdrawn her nomination papers from PP-153.
