Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Thursday that his party will launch the election campaign on January 20 (Saturday).
Expressing his thoughts, Khan said, “We will run the election campaign across the country. The final list of the candidates will be uploaded today.”
Speaking about the relations between Iran and Pakistan, Khan said: “The tensions should not escalate with Iran. The entire nation is standing by the Pak Army.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the candidate backed by the PTI, Iqbal Shah, decided against contesting the elections from NA-155 (Lodhran).
Shah’s son, Aamir Iqbal Shah, made the announcement of his father’s decision on elections. “My father will not contest the elections for the national seat.”
“I will contest the elections from PP-228,” Aamir Iqbal Shah said.
